Denizli’s technical textiles transformation have been introduced with innovative products.
Denizli Technical Textiles Cluster member companies exhibited their innovative products, which were developed to stand out in the technical textile value chain, at the TechTextil Fair. 12 SMEs* from the Denizli Technical Textiles Cluster participated in the fair, which was held on 21-24 June 2022, as exhibitors and 13 SMEs as visitors.
01.08.2022, Denizli – Denizli Technical Textiles Cluster, which was established within the scope of Denizli Technical Textiles Transformation Project under the Competitive Sectors Program co-funded by the Republic of Turkiye and the European Union and carried out by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, met with the technical textiles value chain at the TechTextil Fair organized at Messe Frankfurt.
Techtextil opened its doors after a two-year pandemic break.
63,000 visitors from 117 countries attended Techtextil, which was held in Frankfurt, Germany. At the fair where 2300 companies exhibited their products, Denizli Technical Textiles Cluster member 12 companies* introduced their products to the participants. The Cluster members attended several presentations in the Forum, which was an important part of the fair, and had the opportunity to gain further information about innovative applications such as sustainable materials and processing technologies, automation, and digital processes.
Denizli Technical Textiles Cluster stood out with its different products and services.
Denizli Technical Textiles Cluster exhibited its products in hall 11.1 in the exhibition centre and met with a wide visitor interest. 12 exhibiting companies gathered with customers from all sectors and nationalities. A wide range of products varying from technical textiles for underwear, bandage and filtration use, composite and upholstery fabrics used in transportation and industrial technical textiles, PP for industrial applications, textile products for medical applications, and cotton and microfiber fabrics. also brought together a wide range of products such as functional textile products for fabric technology, and technical textiles for home and hotel use were introduced to visitors.
Techtextil provided further networking opportunities.
The cluster management team and SMEs also came together with technical textiles clusters from European Union member countries and the world. During the visits to the stands of Research Centres and clusters from France, Belgium, Canada, Germany, Italy, Czechia, England, Portugal and Spain, cooperation opportunities for the sustainability of Denizli Technical Textiles Centre and Denizli Technical Textiles Cluster were discussed and ideas were exchanged. These meetings are expected to pave the way for reaching new markets with innovative ideas in the long term as the cluster members had the opportunity to examine technical textile applications and technologies abroad. Moreover, these meetings revealed the importance and necessity of transformation in this R&D based through producing high-quality and high added value products to sustain the competitiveness in the EU market.
Member of the Parliament for Denizli, Mr. Şahin Tin and Denizli Chamber of Commerce President Mr. Uğur Erdoğan visited the stands.
A delegation composed of executives of Denizli Chamber of Commerce (DCC), Denizli Organized Industrial Zone and KOSGEB visited the exhibitors on site. After their visit, DCC President Uğur Erdoğan stated that Techtextil was a great success for all participants, especially Denizli Technical Textiles Cluster, and stated that technical textiles continue to be a high-growth market. President Erdoğan continued: In these times of major difficulties in the supply chain, our exhibitors had a great opportunity to introduce their innovative products to important markets. The interest in our companies was so great that very important purchase negotiations took place. For the first time after the pandemic, we met with customers from all sectors and nationalities in an organization of this scale. As DCC, we will continue to provide all kinds of support to our cluster. We hope to see the impact of this fair on new business deals and exports as soon as possible.
